The 800V 10KW thin film water heater independently developed by Heimhorz has recently been launched, helping to solve the problem of low-temperature fast charging for new energy vehicles.

In winter, low temperatures seriously affect the range, service life, and charging speed of new energy vehicle batteries, which poses challenges to the development of new energy vehicles.

The industry urgently needs high-voltage and high-power water heating electric heaters to improve the winter performance of battery packs. The voltage platform of new energy vehicles has been upgraded from the initial 400V platform to the 800V platform to cope with the challenges brought by the increase in battery pack charging speed and overall vehicle power demand.

The traditional new energy vehicle water heater uses PTC ceramic heating technology, which, due to its material characteristics, poses a huge challenge to its insulation and voltage resistance performance when applied to 800V high voltage conditions. Faced with voltages of 800V or higher, it is necessary to fundamentally change the technological roadmap.

Through independent innovation, Heimhorz has successively broken through a series of key technologies of thin film water heating electric heaters, realizing the industrialization of thin film water heater products with independent intellectual property rights. Since 2020, we have been mass producing 800V 8KW thin film heaters and exporting them to overseas markets, becoming one of the few companies in the world to mass produce 800V automotive heater products.

The successful mass production of the higher power 800V product not only provides a high-power heating solution for fast charging, but also lays the technical and product reserves for the next generation of 1000V and 1250V voltage platforms, as well as products with a wider power range. At the same time, it lays the foundation for the evolution and development of new energy vehicle technology towards higher voltages.
